The Long Island Housing Partnership (LIHP) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing affordable housing needs and promoting community development on Long Island, New York. Founded in 1987, LIHP has been working to create affordable housing opportunities for low and moderate-income individuals and families in the Long Island region.

Challenges:

In 2021, North Peak worked with LIHP to build out their Emergency Rental Assistance Program. With that project now complete, LIHP was ready to embark on a project to build out their existing Salesforce instance to support their Homeownership, Rental Assistance, Crisis, and Home Improvement Programs. To support this initiative, North Peak performed a detailed discovery process to uncover the processes involved and to design a Salesforce solution.

Solution: Salesforce Enterprise Edition + Homekeeper + Form Assembly + CreditChecker + Configuration and Custom Development

LIHP was already using Salesforce, Homekeeper and Form Assembly to manage their applications, so our work involved further configuration of Salesforce including custom fields, record types, page layouts, custom objects, email templates, automation and list views. We also performed custom development to support the randomization of ranking numbers for lottery based intakes, and to support document checklist tracking. Other elements of the project included building Form Assembly forms, installation of CreditChecker for credit check reports, data migration and creation of service files for existing applications for all applicable programs.
